07-21-2012 Jessica & Trevor’s gorgeous summer wedding at the Howard Johnson Hotel in Sudbury, ON was beautifully decorated, sophisticated and elegant with personal touches from the Bride & Groom and the family.

We met Trevor & Jessica at the hall only a couple hours prior to their ceremony. I was  struck by how calm they both were.  They were there to put the finishing touches on the table centerpieces, tall vases with led lights, glass stones and peacock feathers. As I talked with Jessica, I asked her who decorated the hall.  We have a few very talented decorators in town. To my surprise she told me she’d ordered the chair covers and linens online through a company in California (www.chaircoverfactory.com) for a fraction of what it would cost to rent them.  Fortunately for her, her parents winter in Arizona so she was able to order them, have them delivered to the Arizona address, and when her parents came home, they didn’t have to worry about duty when they crossed the border.  The table centerpieces were purchased in the states as well for a fraction again of what it would cost here. It can be so costly when planning a wedding. When you’re able to find a deal and still get the look you’re going for, what more could you ask for?  The beautiful thing is, after your wedding is all done, you can sell all of the chair covers, linens, and centerpieces on Kijiji and help out another bride looking to save some money on her wedding!

The groom happens to work for a printing company, so the seating chart, programs, party favor cards, were all printed by him. In lieu of gift favors, the bride & groom made a donation to their local SPCA. Again a wonderful person touch!

The wedding cake was beautifully done by a friend of the bride & groom. A very stunning cake!

One special touch I thought particularly heartwarming is the attention to detail for a toddler who was part of the Bridal party.

Jessica, I later found out, has the distinct honor of being the first bride in Sudbury to wear a see through corset wedding gown, provided by Lindgren’s. I’d only seen them only on SYTTD.  How cool is that!  And did she ever look stunning in that dress!  I can honestly say, if you have the figure to pull off a dress like that, you should definitely take the risk and try one on.  You just never know!

Congratulations to Jessica & Trevor!  We truly enjoyed being part of your wedding day!
